In early 2018, Microtech Defense Industries had a vision. They aimed to create the market’s most effective, durable, lightweight 9mm silencer. They also needed it modular and adaptable to a shooter’s specific needs. The R2K9 was designed and constructed out of 6AL 4V Titanium and, with extensive sound testing according to MIL-STD 1474D, one of the quietest 9mm silencers ever to be created in its full-size configuration. The user can also shorten it to a more compact size when overall length matters. The short configuration shines when on a sub-gun or compact pistol.
The MDI R2K9 ships with both 1/2×28 and M13.5×1 pistons and a fixed barrel spacer, eliminating the need to purchase additional and costly accessories.
