8.6 APR – Now Bigger and Even Quieter!
B&T’s APR (Advanced Precision Rifle) was designed for precision shots during medium to long-range engagements. This variant has the same top-tier features as the .338 and .308 versions but with an integrated suppressor and 8.6 Blackout chambering. With 8.6 Blackout, the shooter can use full-power supersonic ammunition for longer-range shots or subsonic ammunition for shorter targets, where reduction in audio signature is critical to the mission’s success.
Designed and tested with special forces groups and law enforcement agencies, the APR meets the demands of professionals globally. Extreme testing by the Swiss Army has demonstrated excellent results when used in multiple areas- from hot deserts to sub-zero mountain tops.
What is 8.6 Blackout? Simply put, it’s 300 Blackout’s bigger, badder brother. It uses a .338 projectile in a 6.5 Creedmoor parent case, whereas 300 Blackout utilizes a .308 projectile in a 5.56 parent case.  Instead of your 220-grain match projectiles, subsonic 8.6 can easily use 342-grain expanding ammo.
